[The Little Girl]

a constructive review (if you bother to read it)

Pros and cons -

A. Pros

1. Graphics - incredible, tinted with a bit of gothism (if you call it that, since you used nothing but black, grey, white, and a bit of red). The pictures were well draw, as well as the backgrounds. The perspective art was also used in a good sense, , but could use some improvements.... so I gave it a 9/10.

2. Style - Unique style, greatly enhanced, and unparalleled. There's nothing like an improvised spooky story used, though I personally think it should be for children of all ages. However, it's matchless and unrivaled, thus a 10.

3. Sound - I like the music, and the audio was quite nice as well as the special effects. However, sometimes the narrator couldn't keep up, and the words flashed faster/slower than the voice acting. But overall, a passing, decent, nice score.

4. Interactivity - there was not one second in the movie that made me bored. I was glued to the story entirely, and it added a sense of suspense. Pretty cool.

5. Storyline - ah yes, the best part of the movie - the story. Most portals have implausible graphics and music, but lack story, but you have everything used well. The story itself presented a special star that glows and stands out in this flash movie. That's why I enjoyed it so much.

Cons -

Unfortunately, nothing is perfect. Wherever there are strengths, there are weaknesses. Be humble as to accept them, but do not let it disintegrate your self confidence.

1. It looked a bit like a pop-up book, and you didn't really use "color", but I guess you can't say that's much of a weakness, more like a suggestion I'm giving you.

2. Perspective art - yes, needs huge improvement. Things from far- away sometimes look like they have no distance.
Shading - you need a bit more shading on the girl, and more on
other stuff as well.

3. Expressionless - the people's faces were expressionless, or little less than that. If you want people to have more expression, instead of just tears and frowns and smiles, you should add more stuff, like creases, changing shapes of eyebrows, more along the lines of better character design.

Overall, a fantastic piece. I can't say much more, or you'll kill me. Can't wait for your next production.

I've read it, and it's one of the best and most helpful critiques I've received. We disagree on some minor points because a little of the style is the trademark style of "Childrin R Skary" but you raise a lot of valid points, and they are all things I'll consider for the next one. Thank you!

Okay, take a deep breath and get ready for a LONG review.

1. Graphics - pretty nice, but use a LOT OF shading, and when the characters move, it looks a bit like they're paper cut. It needs some improvement, but better than I can do ^_^ The frames also need some adjustment, try setting them in a longer time period or something.

2. Sound - the voice acting was pretty clear, the song fit pretty well, and I guess it deserves a passing score, it's average, but it's not the best.

3. humor - note the fact that this is the ONLY score that I gave a 10/10 on. It's probably amongst the most hilarious parodies of a game/thing I've ever seen. I'm not sure if you took that song from the movie "Madagascar" or not, but I perceived it as a teasing depiction of that movie. Nice humor.

4. Too short, expand on this damn it!

Nice though, good luck in your future productions!

[HALF LIFE2 - Blow Me Away]

Pros and Cons

Pro -

1. Graphics - 10/10, there are authentically little people who can match your skills in drawing, shading, and coloring. You have unparalleled skills in these viewpoint/perspective art.

2. Sound - Clear sounds, builds suspense at the right time, and AWESOME song.

3. Style - This was taken from a great game, a game that I personally enjoyed. The plot was also taken from the game, and I guess it fits. I admire your depictions of this game.

Cons -

1. Frames are SLOW AS HELL. They didn't go so smoothly, and they keep "jumping", trying setting your frames in a longer time period or at least keep it smooth.

2. File was incredibly large, it took a while to load.

Other than that, it's cool. I await your next production.

No way, I ain't believing it! Nice job! Note the fact that I'm giving this a long review is because I look up to it. Anyway, pros and cons -

1. Graphics - incredible! THe characters were AWESOME, and the frames went quite smoothly! The animation itself is a wonder if you're a beginner at flash like you said.

2. I LOVE the music, it fit very well with each scene, and speaking of scenes, you were smart enough to make different points of views. GREAT

cons -

unfortunately, nothing's perfect, below I've listed some things I think you can improve on .

1. PLOT!!! DAMN IT, all good flashes NEED PLOT. It's not a matter of choice, it's MANDATORY. There was basically not plot, or strictly speaking, very little.

2. please, for !@#$ sake, do NOT mix real life graphics with cartoon graphics. I don't like blurry things mixing with solid color. It hurts my eyes.

3. The characters need a bit more shading.

anyway, good stuff. I hope to see more! Good luck with your future productions, I await your next project. Perhaps I'll even add you to favorites. You sure do have the potential.

Good -

1. Graphics were AWESOME, I can't believe how smoothly the frames ran. You have an awesome talent with drawing, and the pictures were incredibly anime-like. I should've given you a 10, but... (read the weakness section)

2. The music fit REALLY well, it accelerated my heart beat every clash by clash. Good thing it didn't hurt my ears.

3. The ending was smooth, it gave us a " curiousity" as to find out what to do next. If this were an ad for this video game, I'd get it.

Weakness -

1. The graphics were awesome, but when I looked closely at it, it seemed as if they were "flat", as in... you need a bit more shading, and it looked as if they were paper-cut.

2. No plot. A good plot is MANDATORY, but I guess you didn't put in a plot since the video game already has one.

Anyway, great flash, it'll make the front page!

AWESOME

I've been rating shit all day long and I bumped into a GOOD flash for once. Review.

Good -

1. Admirable graphics combined with great frames and backgrounds is an AWESOME trio. You put a lot of hard work into this and if anything, this should make the front page.

2. The music was cool, it built a lot of suspense.

3. The fighting and styles were INCREDIBLE.

Weaknesses

Sad to say, nothing's perfect. If your flash was perfect, it would've gotten a 5/5. There are no existing flashes that gets 5/5 all the time.

1. No plot. A good flash NEEDS a plot. It's MANDATORY.

2. It looks a bit like it's ripped off a video game and you recorded yourself playing. However, I doubt it, so I'm not too sure about using a "video game" style for it.

Not much else, probably, but you can make this into a game if it wasn't a game already. Good luck with your future projects! I await your next production. :-)

yeh i think i forgot the plot for this flash =o. ill make sure i dont next time, and about the recording, mmmh...weird thought, i had the idea for this collab while polaying arcadia, but i dont think someboyd would tape himself playing arcade...i think

I LOVE IT, however, stuff for improvement

1. graphics - great! However, I probably do suggest a bit more shading!

2. Style - it's pretty unique, yet you focused more on humor than plot. To have a better flash, I suggest to balance them both.

3. Sound - the narration was fine, the little creature was hilarious, yet the music was too soft.

4. Interactivity - there was relatively little plot... but there were flashbacks, that was good!

5. Humor - the perverted humor was cool - this is the best part of the flash.

I'm gonna give a long and constructive review...

1. Graphics - well... considering this is anime, I'd rate this above average, and the lion was adorable. However, the intro of blue and white mix made my eyes hurt and gave me quite a diz.

2. the sound was pretty cool, but it was repititive. Did you voice act this? Cuz at first I thought you were a girl, until I went to the profile and found out you were male. Of course, the voice acting was pretty good and fitted quite well.

3. plot - there was no plot... or if there was it was relatively simple. Perhaps you should increase upon the story.

4. characters - more than one character would be actually more helpful in flashes and movies and stuff.

5. humor - it was relatively cute humor, so I gave it a 7, but I took three points off because it wasn't THAT funny, have you watched " There she is step 1 and 2" - that would be an example for you to follow.

6. Interactivity - lessen the time between each screen, cuz it made me wait quite a while and it was extremely annoying.

Other than that AWESOME!

not bad, considering you're new

The graphics are INCREDIBLE for people new to flash. However, you need to clear up on the song and ending, cuz it ended so suddenly, and I didn't even know it then. Also, put more plot into this. The next one should be better. Keep up your good work, and improve your weaknesses. Hopefully the next one would attract my attention better. 3/5
